A house fire in Concord, NSW resulted in the back half of this house having to be stripped and rebuilt due to internal and external damage. Large amounts of the roof structure were fire damaged and weakened with a most of the slates on the back roof damaged beyond repair.
Scope of Works
We started out by stripping what was left of the roof so that the carpenters and structural engineers could come in and access the timber roof structure. The result was a large amount of the roof had to be rebuilt due to structural damage.
After this was complete we set about our work. The copper gutters were restored where possible and replaced where necessary. We installed new breathable felt and timber batterns, along with a new a cooper valley to match the gutters perfectly.
Once this was complete we slated the building in fantastic Spanish Del Carmen slates in a modern and simplistic design with mitred hips and ridges.
This one came out perfectly, lets hope this one lasts a little longer this time!
